If you find that you are unable to attend your session, simply log in to your account or contact us to reschedule. You will need to do this at least 24 hours before your session to avoid a cancellation fee.

Currently our sessions are run using Zoom. You can access this through a web browser (Chrome/ Safari/ Microsoft) or download the application.
You will need a device with a working camera, microphone, and internet access to participate in our sessions. A laptop or computer is ideal as it allows you to share screen and access the chat function easily.
For assessment support you will also need access to an email address, or Google Drive / One Drive to facilitate the sharing of assessment drafts and feedback.

Tutoring sessions are conducted using Zoom.
All sessions are secured with a passcode that is included in your invite link.

No. None of the sessions offered by Illuminate Learning 101 are recorded. This is to ensure privacy for clients and reduce the risk of material that is subject to copyright being shared.

Assessment Support Sessions are designed to assist the student to understand the requirements of the assessment task, set their own goal for the assessment task, and plan steps to completion.
This may include unpacking the marking rubric / criteria, explaining technical or subject specific language, breaking the task down into smaller parts, mapping of available time, setting marker points for completion in a study schedule.
Assessment Check in sessions are shorter and are used for discussing roadblocks impacting task progress, revising steps to completion, discussing draft feedback or debriefing task results.
Draft feedback can also be provided without booking a session.
Assessment Support Sessions are not designed to cover the specific subject content required to complete the assessment task.

Purchase a draft feedback session.
Upload your file (PDF, Microsoft, Google, or Apple compatible files only) on the booking page.
Your draft feedback will be posted to a Google Drive folder and you will be sent an email with a link to access and download it.
Files will be deleted 30 days after the due date for your task

Currently all Illuminate Learning 101 sessions are for individual support only. This is to ensure that the needs of the student are able to be met in the time allotted to the session.
Friends can attend as a support for the student but they are not permitted to interrupt the session, interfere with the teaching / learning, or to record the session.

We encourage parents/ carers to be present during all sessions.
If a parent/ carer is unable to be physically in the room with the student, we request that they at least be within hearing distance to ensure safety for both the student and the tutor.
